Run the Mounds, October 29 2017, 2:00 PM; Mounds State Park, Anderson IN

October 12th is the deadline to signup if you want to be guaranteed a shirt (your choice of long sleeve wicking shirt or sweatshirt). You may signup online at or mail in the registration form.

Packet pickup, race day registration, post-race food and the awards ceremony are all at the Pavilion. The races start in front of the Woodland Shelter. The races finish across the road from the Woodland Shelter. The 5 Mile course map shows the mile markers. The 5K Walkers and Runners follow the first 3 Miles of the 5 Mile couse, then veer slightly right to their finish line.

Parking in the small lot in front of the Woodland Shelter is reserved for emergency vehicles and race volunteers. Parking near the Pavilion is limited, but there is ample parking in the lots by the Locust Grove Shelter, Friends Shelter and the pool. They are all less than 3 tenths of a mile from the pavilion. Please do NOT park on the lawn. Refer to the 5 Mile Course Map or the Mounds Property Map to locate the places mentioned above.

The DNR website is the best place to find additional information about Mounds State Park, including directions to the Park.

There will be free preview runs at 5:30 pm, on October 12th, 19th and 26th. We meet at the Woodland Shelter, where the races will start. Come on out to become familiar with the course or to socialize.

We will meet at the Woodland Shelter at Mounds State Park on Thursday October 12th, 19th and 26th, to preview the Run the Mounds course. The 5 Mile course map shows the mile markers. The 5K Walkers and Runners follow the first 3 Miles of the 5 Mile couse, then veer slightly right to their finish line. These runs will start at 5:30 pm, so everyone can be done before dark. These aren't timed runs, so feel free to start early or late. Stick around after the run to socialize and snack.
